NEW YORK, NY, June 29, 2016 – TransPerfect, the world's largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced that Colleen Chulis, the company’s Global Director of Linguistic Validation and a member of its senior management team, was recognized by The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as Charlottesville’s Finest at the 1st Annual Brewer’s Ball.
The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation honors a select group of men and women from cities or regions across the country that are committed to professional growth through a guided fundraising and awareness campaign. These honorees exemplify strong leadership qualities, are active in their community, and have excelled in their chosen professions. The honorees enjoy many benefits throughout the campaign, primarily the knowledge that they are helping to better the lives of children and adults living with cystic fibrosis.
In accepting the distinction of Charlottesville’s Finest, Colleen committed to raising money to help the Foundation realize its mission of controlling and curing cystic fibrosis. With TransPerfect’s support as a Mission Sponsor and the help of many generous donations, Colleen’s fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will help support vital cystic fibrosis research, including medical and educational programs.
“It is an honor to be recognized by The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as Charlottesville’s Finest,” said Chulis. “Having personally overseen translation and linguistic validation for documents used in cystic fibrosis clinical trials made interacting with CF patients and doctors at the Brewer’s Ball an experience I will never forget.”
