NEW YORK, July 15, 2016 – TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced that its Q2 2016 revenue total was the largest in the company’s history, topping $136 million. Coming on the heels of a record-setting first quarter this year, TransPerfect’s business is up more than 11% year-to-date over 2015, and 22% over the same period in 2014.
In addition to the revenue growth, TransPerfect added over 300 new jobs this quarter, bringing the year-to-date new-hire total to 530 positions.
Sales of GlobalLink translation management technology products, which were a primary driving factor in the company’s strong Q1 results, accelerated further in Q2. Total technology unit sales are up more than 40% over 2015, indicating that demand is rising for tools that reduce or eliminate the manual project management tasks associated with handling translations and multilingual content.
