TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of translation services, today announced the opening of its office in Seoul, South Korea. With the addition of this location, TransPerfect expands its global footprint to eight cities in the Asia-Pacific region, and 66 cities worldwide.
Seoul is the capital of South Korea, and, with a population of more than 10 million, one of the largest cities in the world. Its huge population, combined with a technologically advanced infrastructure, makes Seoul a hotbed of global economic activity. Particularly known as a high-tech powerhouse, Seoul is home to major global corporations such as Samsung, LG, and Hyundai.
This new office will enable TransPerfect to provide a local point of contact to existing clients and prospects throughout South Korea. According to TransPerfect Co-CEO Liz Elting, “As one of the world’s leading international business hubs, Seoul has a substantial need for high quality language services delivered with time and cost efficiencies. While we've served customers based in Seoul effectively from our other offices in the region, we are very excited to announce our first physical office presence in South Korea.”
